Barclays Blue Rewards – a new way to reward mortgage customers.

Barclays Bank has announced the launch of a new rewards program for current account and mortgage customers.

The new scheme is of particular benefit to customers who either already have a Barclays’ mortgage or plan to take one out.

What benefits you can expect?

Earn rewards

• Current Account Loyalty Reward - account holders earn £7 each month for banking with Barclays.
• Mortgage Loyalty Reward – residential mortgage holders earn £5 each month for having a Barclays mortgage.
• Home Insurance Loyalty Reward – customers taking out or renewing a Barclays home insurance policy will earn £3 per month.
• Enhanced cashback with SmartSpend – customers who book with Expedia or shop online with SmartSpend Shopping will receive cashback.

Save money

• You can get money off your everyday spending by comparing all suppliers and switching with energyhelpline.

Joining Barclays Blue Rewards.

You can receive the benefits of the scheme by holding or opening up a suitable Barclays current account that meets the rewards scheme eligibility criteria.

To be eligible customers need to:

• Pay in a minimum of £800 into their chosen current account each month.
• Make two Direct Debit payments from their chosen current account each month.
• Pay a monthly fee of £3 from their chosen current account.

The following account types are not suitable or eligible:

• Cash Card, Young Person’s, BarclayPlus, foreign currency, Barclays Wealth or Barclays Business accounts.

Mortgage rewards.

• Customers with a residential mortgage at Barclays will begin receiving £5 from the start of the month that follows their joining Barclays Blue Rewards.
• If a customer takes out a new residential mortgage with Barclays, the first reward will be added at the start of the month after mortgage completes.
• The rewards lasts for the life of the Barclays mortgage chosen.

The rewards earned accumulate in a Digital Rewards Wallet and can be redeemed by transferring them to your Barclays account.
