Research by Paragon reveals landlords property portfolios increased in the second quarter of 2012.
In the last three months investment property portfolio averages have increased from 12.9 in quarter one to to 14.1 in quarter two. There was also a year on year increase from the same time last year when average portfolios were 12.5 properties.
Just over 20% of UK buy to let landlords questioned as part of the Private Rented Sector Trends Survey, advised that lenders best mortgage deals would allow them to increase their property portfolios this year.
According to the survey, of those landlords planning to purchase additional property this year around 50% advise they plan to invest in terraced houses, and of those remaining around a quarter intend to buy flats.
