New Skipton 2 year fixed rate mortgage launched.
Among Skipton's recently launched residential mortgage products is a 2 year fixed rate mortgage available for both new purchase and remortgage.
The new 2 year fixed rate on offer is for 60 per cent LTV and is available at a competitive rate of 3.59 per cent, however fees apply of £195 and £800 for mortgage arrangement and mortgage completion.
A new 5 year fixed rate mortgage deal has also been launched at a rate of 4.89 per cent and is available for 85 per cent LTV on both new purchase and remortgage. Fees of £195 for mortgage arrangement and £800 for mortgage completion apply.
Kris Brewster who is head of products at Skipton commented on the product launch, he said that the lender constantly monitors both market and customer feedback which enables the product range offered, to be adjusted to suit both market trends and developing customer needs.
He added that the new 2 year fixed rate mortgage offers a low rate for those who have a reasonable amount of equity. He went on to say that Skipton recognise that mortgage-holders are increasingly looking for peace of mind against rising interest rates. To service this need Skipton have introduced a 5 year fix at a lower rate.
