Re-branding of the intermediary Abbey mortgage arm.
The intermediary Abbey mortgage brand is to be scrapped by Santander, it will be re-branded and re-launched as Santander for Intermediaries.
The change to the Abbey intermediary mortgage brand comes into effect from July 17, however the Abbey name will remain in place for the lender's direct mortgage range.
A spokesperson for the lender commented advising that the Abbey mortgage re-brand should allow Santander to work even closer with intermediaries. Great products and services will continue to be offered.
Over the last several months Abbey has supported home-owners with the release of ultra low rate mortgage products, this situation is anticipated to continue as all that is changing it the name.
