How do you know which are the best remortgage deals on offer?

How do you decide which are the best remortgage deals? At Deal Direct we look at your individual circumstances as well as checking the whole of the market to source the best offer for you.

The International Monetary Fund has recently suggested that the Bank of England cut interest rates even further. If this advice is followed tracker rates will become even more competitive and may become some of the best deals available.

If you do take a tracker deal the interest rate is a set percentage above the base rate and so will move down or up as the base rate moves. If the base rate stays low, short term deals may come to an end just as interest rates are rising. Lifetime trackers could be even better value if the base rate stays low for longer than expected.

If you want the security of knowing exactly what your payments will be, regardless of base rate movement, a fixed rate may be the best remortgage option for you. Longer term fixed rates for 5 years or more could also reduce the risk of having to remortgage when rates may be even higher.

Many economists are predicting that the base rate could stay low until around 2016. The International Monetary Fund comments may also bring pressure to keep interest rates low, even if they are not cut again.

If you are concerned about the rising cost of mortgage deals you should consider remortgaging to a more competitive rate as soon as possible. At Deal Direct we are working hard to bring you the best remortgage deals in the market so give us a call and see if we can save you money.
