Leeds BS launches a lower deposit 2 year fixed rate mortgage.
The Leeds Building Society has announced the release of a new cheaper lower deposit 2 year fixed rate mortgage.
For those with a 25% deposit a 2 year fix is now on offer at just 2.14% which is a reduction of 0.26%.
In addition to offering a lower rate, the lender has also decided to improve its loan to value level which has been reduced from 65% to 75%. Its newly improved 2 year fixed rate mortgage is now far more affordable and achievable for many more home-owners and would-be borrowers.
The Leeds also advises that penalty free capital repayments of up to 10% are allowed each year and there is no higher lending charge.
The fees charged are set at average levels too. A £199 booking fee is payable and for purchases up to £500,000 the completion fee is £800 and over £500,000 the completion fee is 1%.
