Leeds 'Welcome' mortgages now come with cashback.
The Leeds BS launched a range of 'Welcome' mortgages last month offering buyers 0% interest on their mortgage for between 3 and 6 months.
The lender's new 0% interest mortgages proved highly popular with buyers, and so the range was extended after just a couple of weeks.
Now a new incentive is being offered on 2, 3 and 5 years fixes in the form of cashback.
Any borrower taking out a 2, 3 or 5 year fixed 'Welcome' mortgage for up to 85% LTV will now be given a £200 lump sum.
In addition to 0% interest for up to 6 months and £200 cashback there is also the added benefit of no mortgage completion fee and the added bonus of a free standard valuation worth up to £355. Over payment of up to 10% of the original mortgage advance is also allowed each year penalty free.
A spokesperson for the lender has commented on the 'Welcome' mortgage range, saying that it is designed to reduce initial outgoings after the purchase of a home, to make home improvements more financially viable.
