NatWest mortgage rates are cheaper for those with a large deposit.
For those with a 40% deposit NatWest mortgage rates are available at under 3%.
Last month the lender launched a 5 year fixed rate mortgage at the historically low level of 2.95%, and this month a 2 year fixed rate deal has been launched at under 3%.
NatWest's 5 year fix at 2.95% was increased after just a couple of weeks to control demand, and so those interested in this new offer are advised not to delay. The lowest rate offers tend only to be available for a limited time before being withdrawn.
The lower the rate, the higher the demand and as mortgage offers tend to come with a fixed tranche of funding they tend to become quickly fully subscribed.
NatWest has also announced that mortgage rates have been reduced across both its current account and core range. For 60% loan to value several products have been cut including trackers and 2 year fixes.
In the current account range NatWest mortgage offers start at 2.85% for 60% loan to value. This deal is available for both remortgage and new purchase and has a £995 mortgage fee. A 2 year tracker mortgage is also on offer at 60% loan to value at 3.29% which is fee free. The same rates also apply to the NatWest core range.
A NatWest mortgage spokesperson commented saying the lender is pleased to cut its rates to make its 60% loan to value mortgages even more appealing. Adding that more offers are to be released at a future date.
