Remortgages from National Counties Building Society.

A new addition to the National Counties Building Society remortgages range has been announced.

The lender has recently launched a remortgage product that will be fixed at a rate of 4.39 per cent until 31st October 2015. This makes the deal term significantly longer than 3 years but not quite 4.

The new addition to the lender's range of remortgages is offered for loans up to 90 per cent LTV up to a maximum loan value of £250,000. National Counties advise that capital repayments are permitted up to a maximum of 10 per cent per year but any repayment which exceeds this level will incur an early repayment charge.

Early repayment charges will be 4 per cent from July 2 2012 which is the completion deadline, until the end of October 2012. From October 31 the early repayment charge will then reduce by 1 per cent per calendar year until the end of the term. Valuation and legal fee incentives are also to be offered.

David Black who is the insight analyst for Defaqto has commented saying that there are currently around 282 fixed rate mortgage deals for up to 90 per cent LTV of which 106 are available as remortgages.

He added that in general there is little difference between remortgage and purchase mortgage rates but those offered for remortgage may come with more generous valuation and legal fee incentives.

As there are few 4 year fixed rate mortgage deals on offer for 90 per cent LTV, National Counties are offering the pick of the bunch even though their offer is a little short of 48 months.
